We are hiring a Solid Waste Manager/Landfill Director to manage all aspects of
landfill operations for the Town of Huachuca City.
Duties include budget
development and
administration, staff
management, market
expansion, and responsibility for daily operations.
Supervises operators.
Develops and carries out
policies, procedures and
programs as related to both daily and long-range
management of the Landfill. Ensures compliance with
federal, state and local
regulations. Also assures that staff is properly trained so that daily operations comply with permits, solid waste codes and Federal, State, Local, and Town policies and procedures. Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
environmental management or related field; supplemented by five years' experience that
includes supervising staff and managing solid waste
collection and disposal
programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Salary will range from $40,000 to 60,000 per depending on experience and qualifications.
